Activist Mr. Macaroni Calls for Tinubu's Resignation Amid Worsening Insecurity.
Popular Nigerian comedian and activist Adebowale "Debo" Adedayo, known as Mr. Macaroni, has issued a fierce condemnation of the current administration, directly questioning President Bola Tinubu's commitment to ending insecurity in the nation. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on November 19, 2025, the activist called out the President over the recent kidnapping of innocent school children in Kebbi State and the murder of a general and other security agents by terrorists. Mr. Macaroni began by asking President Tinubu, who had previously vowed to "end the scourge of insecurity once and for all" if elected, what had changed since he took office. He described it as "abominable" that the President had not addressed the nation to inform Nigerians of actions being taken, calling it a "Blatant disregard and lack of accountability!". The activist escalated his criticism, labeling the nation's political leaders a "Useless set of Politicians! Evil and Wicked!" who care only about "stealing, looting and fighting for elections" and have "Zero value for the lives of Nigerians!". In a final, pointed post, Mr. Macaroni argued that "In any Civilized country, Tinubu should resign!" asking if a responsible government would permit its youth to be kidnapped and innocent citizens murdered. President Tinubu's office has since stated he is "depressed" over the incidents and has directed security agencies to act swiftly for the girls' release, while the Senate has called for additional military recruitment.
