Tinubu Hosts Niger Delta Leaders, Promises to Defeat Terrorism and Banditry
Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday hosted Niger Delta leaders from Ogbia in Bayelsa State at the Presidential Villa, pledging a renewed fight against terrorism and banditry across Nigeria. During the meeting, the President assured the leaders that his administration is committed to restoring peace and stability, highlighting ongoing efforts by the armed forces to tackle violent groups in troubled regions. “Our security forces are fighting very hard to restore peace,” he said, stressing that progress is being made despite ongoing challenges. Beyond security, Mr Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to development in the Niger Delta, praising the leadership of the Niger Delta Development Commission and promising continued investment in infrastructure and social services for the region. He urged the community to focus on future growth rather than past neglect.
