Nuella has made serious claims against her estranged partner, Carter, describing a pregnancy filled with fear, violence and loneliness, a reality she says was hidden behind their public couple content. In her account, Nuella said her pregnancy journey was “hell”, alleging that Carter hit her repeatedly without regard for her condition. She said the assaults sent her to Cedacare Hospital so often that staff members came to recognise her immediately. She claimed she always went to the hospital alone. According to her, she never wanted anyone to know what she was going through, choosing silence even when a nurse once asked why she was always unaccompanied. She said she could not explain, adding that she would take herself to the hospital with no one to help her. Nuella further alleged that Carter regularly smashed her phones, a detail she now says explains why she was often unreachable. She claimed that whenever she ran out of the house to escape the violence, he would quickly call his family to tell them she had left, shaping events before she could speak. She also said there came a painful realisation that she was being used for “content”. According to her, everything she posted online was genuine and from the heart. She added that making couple content with one’s partner “has never been a crime”, but said the way she was treated afterwards was “scary”. The allegations have not been independently verified.
