‘There Is No Leader of Tomorrow’: VeryDarkMan Blasts Nigerian Youths After Ratel Trademark Row

A fresh online storm is gathering pace after social media activist VeryDarkMan launched a sharp rebuke of Nigerian youths, following his public rift with Blord over the name Ratel. The dispute began after Blord moved to trademark Ratel, a name long associated with VeryDarkMan. The move was widely applauded online, with many Nigerians cheering Blord for acting first. What went largely unnoticed, however, was that VeryDarkMan had already trademarked the name as far back as September 2024. In a video now circulating across social media, VeryDarkMan expressed deep disappointment at the reaction of young Nigerians, describing it as a clear sign of poor thinking and short sightedness. “There is no leader of tomorrow from the way these youths think,” he said. Taking his argument further, he linked the incident to Nigeria’s political future. According to him, the thinking he witnessed explains why political leaders are grooming their children for power. “That is why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has to groom Seyi Tinubu for politics,” he stated. “He has seen the way Nigerians think and knows they can never be leaders of tomorrow.” He also cited the actions of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, noting that Wike is often seen in public with his son. “That is why Wike carries his son everywhere he goes. He is grooming him for politics because he knows the people can never be leaders of tomorrow,” VeryDarkMan said. In one of his strongest remarks, he warned that political power would continue to circulate within the same families if Nigerian youths fail to change their mindset. “Their children will always have dominion over you,” he declared. “I have never been more disappointed in Nigerian youths than I have been these past few days.” He ended the message with a direct admonition, urging young Nigerians to start thinking ahead and preparing for the future. “Start seeing tomorrow from today,” he said, warning that the sons of powerful politicians like Wike, El Rufai and Tinubu would keep recycling themselves in politics if Nigerians do not wake up.
